The Beatles arrived in the United States in 1964, a time when suburban American parents were hoarse from yelling at their kids about the evils of both Elvis Presley and the African-American performers he imitated. The boys from Britain offered something of an acceptable alternative. Their music revolutionized youth culture in the United States in the sixties, and their influence and popularity has survived for the the past 40 years. The Beatles Flip Your Wig game is just one example of an ocean of Beatles merchandise that also swept the nation.
