Game of Base-Ball

board game

1886

By the mid 1850s, America embraced the sport of baseball. Baseball board games appeared just as soon as manufacturers developed the technology to print them. McLoughlin Brothers, a premier New York game manufacturer, produced one version of "Game of Base-Ball" in 1886. A deluxe game, it features dual spinners which fit directly onto the game board, a chalkboard for scoring, a realistic baseball field, and painted lead figures of baseball players. A very lucky child played this game!
