The Game of Merry Christmas Goose Chase

board game

ca. 1890

Game manufacturers McLoughlin Brothers produced a group of several games, during the late 19th century, called "The Merry Christmas Series." It is likely that the firm marketed these games especially at holiday time, to take advantage of the gift-buying public. This particular example, "Merry Christmas Goose Chase" is a simple race style game, appealing most to young children.
